The Colorado Rapids Soccer Club held a special Fan appreciation with a public ceremony at the Denver Pavilions on the 16th Street Mall in Downtown Denver.

In attendance was 9News sports journalist Susie Wargin and a special appearance by Colorado Rapids forward #9 Conor Casey.

Conor Casey is still on the injured list and did not travel with the team to California for the second phase of preseason training.
The announcement that was made is that the Colorado Rapids will put all Season Ticket holders names in small print on the 2013 jerseys.
From the Colorado Rapids Web Site:
ìThe Colorado Rapids are thanking their most loyal fans with a unique opportunity to ìBe Part of the Fabric of the Team,î as the club will feature the names of its Season Ticket holders on the 2013-2014 home jerseys. All fans that have renewed their season tickets for the 2012 season, as well as those that purchase new seats by March 1, 2012, will have their names printed into the design of the Rapids authentic home jerseys in 2013 and 2014.î
T-Shirts, wrist bands and other Rapids goodies were given out after the announcement.
And as an added benefit, fans that were present until at least 3:00 p..m. MST were able to sign the large Rapids T-Shirt Banner featured in every home game..
